Enjoy playing a game of Bowling!
A small part of search engine optimization involves a website's content, such as the Bowling game above. While the game doesn't exactly relate to search engine marketing (SEM), search engine optimization (SEO) or website design, it does serve an important purpose: to keep a visitor on this page and within my website for an extended period of time. The time that a visitor spends within my website or on an individual page is called either site stickiness or page stickiness.
Having site stickiness or page stickiness of just a few seconds tells search engines that a website has irrelevant content or that a visitor is disinterested in its content. This could negatively impact the way search engines view the website's relevance and its ranking on search engine results pages (SERP). Having site stickiness or page stickiness of several minutes or longer, has the opposite effect.
Website development & design do not have to incorporate content in the form of a game, like the Bowling game above. Many other forms of content, anything that will keep the attention of a visitor to a website, will work just as well in search engine optimization efforts.
But, since there is a game already placed on this web page, go ahead and play it! Increase my site stickiness and page stickiness!
