In the near future, I will rewrite the content of the "About Me" page to make it more informative. For now, my goal is to please the search engine gods in order to achieve a highly ranked website in the areas of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) / Search Engine Marketing (SEM) / Website Design as quickly as possible.

 

Until my future rewrite, here's a short, but sweet, synopsis of me...

 

I resigned my position in the medical field (Radiology/Ultrasound) in September 2000 to scratch the itch I had always had to run my own business. In October 2000, I opened that business under the name of "The PC Shoppe". Initially, I built, repaired and upgraded computers and peripherals as well as building and maintaining small business networks. During 2002, I expanded my services to include building and maintaining websites. Unfortunately, however, I was oblivious to the world of Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing and the steps it is necessary to take in order to achieve a top ranking web site in search engine results that are listed whenever an Internet search is performed.

 

In 2006, I stumbled upon the world of Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing when two of the websites for which I provided webmaster services could not be found anywhere in search engine results after performing searches on Google, Yahoo, MSN, Dogpile, etc. using relevant keywords and key phrases for each of the respective websites. I did, like so many people do, chose keywords and key phrases for each website and placed them within meta tags and submitted the sites to search engines -- thinking that these two simple steps were all that were necessary to get the attention of search engines. Oh man, was I wrong!! Those two steps, while essential, are only the tip of the SEO / SEM iceberg!

 

After doing my homework, I optimized and redesigned the first of the two websites -- to astounding success!!! A whopping six days later, the majority of the website's keywords and key phrases were showing up in search engine results pages -- not on page 5 or page 10, but on page ONE!!!!! At the time, my limited knowledge (acquired in less than two months) was allowed me to beat millions of other web pages in the rankings -- even web pages owned by large corporations with sizable IT staffs and piles of cash in their budgets. To make sure that my success with the first website wasn't a fluke and that I wasn't having a "One Hit Wonder" moment, I redesigned and optimized the second website. Again, I had amazing success!!! This time, it only took three days to begin seeing a majority of my keywords and phrases show up on the first page!

 

It didn't take me long to realize that I have a natural talent and a very strong passion for Search Engine Marketing and Search Engine Optimization. I absolutely love kicking the asses of other website marketers in getting my websites to outrank theirs in search engine results!! I get an even bigger thrill knowing that I achieved a higher ranking without a large IT staff and a well-funded budget!!

 

In the past two years, I've been sharpening my website design skills and converting my business over to a website marketing and website design-based business from a computer-based business. Unfortunately, our current economy isn't making the conversion any easier. So, I thought I'd try building my own website to attract new clients interested in Search Engine Optimization or Search Engine Marketing for their website(s) or to attract an employer.
